win clients and secure approvals.
Transforming hand-drawn drafts or 2D models into art
Focusing on lighting, the process goes beyond simply modelling a space—it’s about simulating how light behaves within it.
Starting from a 2D plan, the geometry is built in 3D and then layered with both daylight conditions (orientation, window size, time of day) and artificial lighting (fixture placement, intensity, beam angles, colour temperature). The result is a set of visuals that accurately reflect how the space will feel across different moments, not just how it looks on paper.
For interior designers, this becomes a powerful design and presentation tool: it allows them to test lighting decisions early, refine atmosphere with intention, and present clients with a realistic preview of the final environment. Instead of guessing how lighting will perform, clients can clearly understand the mood and functionality of the space—making approvals faster and giving designers a stronger, more confident position when presenting their schemes.

Turning a hand-drawn interior sketch into a 3D model begins with carefully interpreting the proportions, layout, and intent behind the drawing, translating it into an accurate digital space in SketchUp.
From there, materials, lighting, and key elements are layered in to build a coherent scene, which is then developed into photorealistic renders that reflect how the space will actually feel—light levels, atmosphere, textures, and focal points included.
For interior designers, this process becomes a powerful communication tool: instead of asking clients to imagine the outcome, they can present a clear, immersive vision. That clarity reduces hesitation, speeds up decision-making, and significantly increases the likelihood of winning the project, as clients feel confident committing to something they can already “see.”
Converting a 2D plan into a 3D model starts with translating precise drawings—whether CAD or scaled PDFs—into a spatially accurate digital environment, where proportions, volumes, and relationships between elements are clearly defined in SketchUp.
Once the structure is established, materials, furnishings, and especially lighting are introduced to build depth and realism, before evolving into photorealistic renders that capture how the space will actually look and feel.
For interior designers, this process transforms technical drawings into a compelling visual narrative: instead of relying on clients to interpret plans, they can present a fully realised space. This clarity builds trust, accelerates approvals, and gives designers a strong advantage when pitching, as clients are far more likely to commit to a scheme they can already visualise with confidence.
Modern Villa
Residential Project
Modeling • Texturing • Daylight Render
A technical conversion of a 2,500 sq ft residential plan into high-end marketing renders. Focus on material accuracy and lighting simulation for an open-concept
The objective for the Modern Villa project was to create a set of images that felt like high-end architectural photography before a single wall was built. We started with a set of PDF sketches from the designer, building out a comprehensive 3D shell in 3ds Max. Our lighting study focused on the large floor-to-ceiling windows, simulating the soft, diffused light of a North American morning. We meticulously textured the space using high-resolution scans of the specified materials, including rift-sawn oak and honed travertine. The final renders were used by the designer to secure final material approvals from the homeowner, saving weeks of potential rework during the construction phase. The project demonstrates our commitment

Luxury Retail
Flagship Concept
Commercial Modeling • High-Gloss RendersA high-impact commercial project converting 2D retail plans into sleek,For this flagship store project, the challenge was to render a variety of high-gloss surfaces and complex lighting fixtures. We took the architect's CAD drawings and built a high-fidelity model that included custom display shelving and recessed LED lighting. The rendering process required multiple passes to accurately capture the reflections on the polished marble floors and glass partitions. We simulated
Subtle, light-driven photography and a quiet typographic system to position Opal as acommerce visuals.
Opal came to me with a clear ask: their skincare line was gentle, effective, and ingredient-focused, but their visual identity felt generic and overlooked. I redesigned everything from the ground up, starting with a new logotype that felt softer and more considered. The photography direction emphasized natural light and minimal styling—no aggressive shadows or clinical backdrops. I designed a

ABOUT
The Artist Behind the Renders
I'm Leila, a professional lighting designer and a 3D visualization artist, based in Portugal and working globally. I am dedicated to the estetical art of the space. I help architects and interior designers bridge the gap between abstract plans and emotional, visual realities that clients can truly see themselves in.
My approach combines engineering precision with a photographer's eye for light. I believe a great render isn't just about pixels; it's about accuracy, atmosphere, and the story of the space. I work as a direct extension of your design team.
